I am using a 70% ellagic extract from pomegranate. Since I don't know the stability of it in a solution, I take a little bit and add it seperately to 1mL of 5% minoxidil. I add a small amount, since the studies called for .5%, which means 5mg for every ml if my calculations are correct.
Ellagic acid is great for curbing inflammation, but I find that after I wash my hair, I have red splotchy patches in the areas I applied it most. Do you have this problem?

Whenever I use minoxidil I get redness regardless but thats why I added ellagic acid. I suspect ellagic acid to increase absorbtion of minoxidil which means your applying to much. If you apply twice a day perhaps you should try one. Yes, I do get increased redness but it don't feel that its being harmfull. I would not worry about it. I use scientific grade which is pure ellagic and so its not green.
