lately my hair has been really thin and brittle... when i run my hand through the top (which is kept short) i cant even see any hair on my hand. Upon closer inspection... I see a bunch but they are so minaturized i have to look really close to see them.

Anyways... I have been taking fincar and minoxidil for 2-3 years and until recently never felt like I had this problem. I dont know what to attribute it to...

-the weather has been unusually cold and dry for this florida winter
-I have been swimming 5 days a week for 1hr (been swimming for years... used to play water polo 3 times a week in the pool for 2 hrs at a time)
-Maybe I am just meant to be bald as a diffuse thinner and my body is overriding the finasteride?
- fake fincar from UP in Hong Kong?

What can i do to make my hair thicker and stronger? I have been using LS&B thickening shampoo when i get out of the pool but this just seems to make my hair dry. I was thinking olive oil but i really do not know...

I feel like my hair has gotten so much shittier in the past 2 months

very odd. Do you suspect nutrition or some unusual pattern of male pattern baldness?

A B-complex, MSM, maybe a multivitamin couldn't hurt as it would rule out any vitamin deficiencies and may thicken the hair. If it's DHT then yeah.. it depends on your age what the BEST solution is, but Finasteride would probably work too :)

im on finasteride and have been for nearly 3 years... haven't been around b/c i was content with my hair

anyways my nutrition is top notch i take 2 multivitamins... often take a b complex... take 6-7 fish oil caps a day... i dont eat crappy food that much... lots of vegetables and what not... try to stay away from refined carbs and other crap like that

I dont think its vitamin defecencies as I have been eating this way for a long long time

i am 24...

i have been getting a lot more color b/c i swim in the middle of the day... could UV do that much damage to my hair?

would copper peptide like folligen lotion make that big of a difference?

btw i am 24 and a diffuse thinner

Yeah maybe post some pics and/or get a specialist to look at your hair.

I does seem unlikely it's nutrition, but at the same time this would be a VERY odd case of male pattern baldness!! Diffuse thinning of the actual hair strands themselves? Usually it's just telogen phases followed by miniaturization...

There are other possibilities ofc...

I would pop to a hair specialist, or just a doctor or something :)
