Thickening of hairs from finasteride

Hi guys,

I started taking finasteride roughly 7 months ago. I had been taking minoxidil for about a year before that. minoxidil had sprouted new "vellus" hairs along my hairline that now looks like it has a chance to become terminal as they have turned black and thicker, but are still thinner and softer than the rest of my hair and they don't grow as long. They grow to maybe about 1 1/2 inches long, but also might just take longer to grow out.

I have experienced some slight regrowth along my hairline, but my biggest issue I wanted to fix were with the hairs on my temple. These hairs have been softer and thinner than every other hair on the rest of my head ever since 2006. It never got worse, never fully receded or miniaturized more. I am Asian so it's easy to tell the difference between thicker and thinner hairs on my head. Also, these thinner, miniaturized hairs look good enough that since 2006, I've never really worried about them as it doesn't look like I'm balding as long as I don't attempt hairstyles that look like I have a clean hairline.

Since taking finasteride, I've noticed that my hairline has gotten slightly better along the temples with the darkening/thickening of new growth from minoxidil. Will this darkening/thickening happen to my temple hairs that have thinned since 2006?

For the answer build a time machine and go 1-2 years in the future, find your future self and examine the temples.

If you're not happy with the results get back in said time machine and go 200 years into the future and maybe they'll have a cure by then.

If you can't figure out how to build the time machine the only other option is to just wait a year or so and see...
