Over the course of the last 6-9 months ive noticed a thinning all over, now normally when a hair is miniturized it gets shorter and shorter. The hair just behind my hairline was relatively filled in about Oct-Nov last year, and then i had a minor shed around xmas, then a major one around feb-march (6 weeks after starting propecia). When i get up close in the mirror, i cant even see vellus hairs where these hairs used to be, keep in mind the hair that fell out must have been more then 6 inches long (it was cut, so probobly longer then that) and relatively healthy.
I assume if my male pattern baldness was THAT aggresive that it took such a healthy hair and just killed it outright, skiping the whole miniturization thing, id be substantially worse off by now, considering its been nearly 5 months or more since this hair fell...
So whats going on, is there possibly something else at play here? that is perhaps keeping some of , if not alot of the hair in a temporary (i hope) dormant phase? and is this even possible?
Also, if a hair falls out due to anagen effluvium, do you have to wait the full cycle the hair would normally have grown for, befroe expecting that particular follicle to start growing a new hair?
