I had an interesting conversation with Peter Mac of Hairlosshelp about this. He has seen a lot of people's scalps under his microscope, and he said that he can still see follicles improve in patients who have been on finasteride for years.

Pirate - Interesting comment. But what does he mean there? I mean, haircounts start dropping (not below the baseline necessarily, but below the peak of regrowth on finasteride) after a year or two. It seems like hair gets very slowly worse on the charts after the maximum benefits are realized at 12 or 18 months. So which hairs would still be improving after years? Perhaps the mid-scalp ones? Did he give more details? Thanks!
