2007 - Rogaine only; see the results? Amazing isn't it?
But I was hasty and impatient.
I stopped after that.
I thought there's no progress.

2009 - Stopped Rogaine after a few months in 2008; worsen
Don't repeat the mistake that I did.

2009 till May 2011 - Proscar only . Not much improvement.
Proscar (finasteride) & Nizoral.
Still no full hair yet.
Refuse to add minoxidil since I'm ok with finasteride alone.
Adding Biotin now.

Re: 6 months and Nizoral.

Looks good! however if you really want regrowth you should add minoxidil (best would be to start with the foam)

The title is slightly confusing... could you add that you're on proscar?

Re: 6 months and Nizoral.

In my expert opinion, the improvement in results seen after adding Nizoral is probably due to the Finasteride - 4 months of taking it isnt enough, it needs to be minimum 6 to see improvement.

Re: 6 months and Nizoral.

Nizoral does seem to have the effect of making your hair appear thicker. This is an immediate effect and probably has to do with it stripping out the oil or something.

My experience of taking Nizoral alone for 5 years and going from a NW1 to NW3 would suggest that it's not particularly effective at regrowing hair.

Thanks.
I'll add minoxidil now.

Bought Kirkland minoxidil months ago but did not use it.

Re: 6 months on Proscar and 2 months++ on Nizoral.

Its just that using the word 'expert', whether or not it was tongue in cheek (i can't tell) to describe yourself when giving advice could make somebody put disproportionate confidence in what you say. Rassman, Lee, (to put faith in someone on the forum) Bryan. These are experts.

Wow, your temples filled in in such a short time. That's awesome. I would consider using minoxidil, definitely.

Worried to apply minoxidil.
Since some say once we stopped using it, we'll lose all the hair we've grown
before.

Your situation is already pretty bad for avoid minoxidil. You should get it asap.

Re: 6 months on Proscar and 2 months++ on Nizoral.

You are filling nicely.

Why add minoxidil now?

Wait a few months and let finasteride take its full effect.

In my opinion min is too much work if you keep getting results like you have so far.

Stick with the finasteride and a good shampoo for now, you're obviously not losing any more hair, in fact growing it, so leave off the min for now!! :)

Re: 6 months on Proscar and 2 months++ on Nizoral.

Hi.

It's been a while.

UPDATE:

Latest picture 16 March 2011.
19 months on Proscar (finasteride) & 2 months Nizoral.
After 19 months still no full hair yet.
Wondering what else should I add.
Refuse to add minoxidil since I'm ok with finasteride alone.
