alright,

i need to know (and probably others) what exactly contributes to having gyno? i know its a lump on your chest and you could grow tits. scary true, but if you dont smoke, drink or do anything that hurts your body, is there a chance of getting it? thats the question, what actually makes you get gyno? or is it just by chance no matter what lifestyle you live?

thanks and good luck

drinking elevates estrogen, smoking weed elevates estrogen, working out temporarily raises test levels. 99% of people are fine doing these things. Having a lot of fat increases your chances for gyno, as fat encourages estrogen (or something like that)

apparantly finasteride gyno is related to progesterone, not estrogen directly. I dunno what that exactly means. It is a traditionally harder gyno to get rid of (guys doing cycles of DECA also get this gyno) Thing is that all literature i read says drugs like Nolvadex don't work on this kind of gyno, yet looking up PUBMED, you'll find several articles stating NOLVA remitted like 80% of finasteride gyno. Apparantly Propecia gyno has different properties then regular gyno. WHO KNOWS.

Thing is that you most likely can take propecia and will not get GYNO. I had a predisposition to fat around my pecs (all of my life) I went out and binged drinked around the time when excess testosterone is being converted to estrogen. (typically 6-9 months into treatment) All these variables likely pushed things over the edge, and gave me my gyno.

BY ALL MEANS I DON'T WANT TO START BIG PANICS OVER GYNO JUST BECAUSE I GOT IT. finasteride is a safe drug in my opinion which grows hair. I waited 1 year to take it because of all the horror stories I read in forums. Some people get sides, some don't. Some grow hair, some don't.

should answer all your questions

Jesus was looking at the gallery on this web site, some of those guys have tits. I have a muscular body and also have a small fat deposit around the pecs, so it hasn't ever bothered me, but if I ended up looking like those guys on that site I'd come of Finasteride straight away. Vortex you've just scared me

Ive been here over 6 months and I"ve seen a TON of guys post about gyno problems they're experiencing. Gyno is something you don't want. More than likely you WILL get gyno on propecia. The reason others dont complain is because the changes are too subtle to notice.

I think that gyno is probably more common than Merck is willing to admit, but I think your statement that, "More than likely you WILL get gyno on propecia," is a gross exaggeration. I doubt that most men have gyno problems when taking a Propecia. You're right though that it's a concern. My brother-in-law has been dealing with gyno for the last year or so (not from Propecia though), and based on what he's told me, it sounds rather unpleasant. I guess you always have surgery though as a last resort.

Cheers.
