The Start of hair loss :(

I was getting my haircut a month ago and asked why my hair on the right side of my fringe always lops to one side, and she said it was due to it receding on that side.

Since then I've been wondering about hairloss. My Grandad on my fathers side was bald, but no other history and my dad still has his hair at 44.

My grandad lost all of his hair by the time he was 23. Hope I'm not going in that direction. I've got an older brother who is 20 but he has a smaller head than me and no widows peak.

This is just an opinion, you're at risk, but that's all, it doesn't look too receded to me, many people get that hairline and don' lose their hair. Take in a few opinions then relax and check up again in a month or twos time.

You'll be glad you took those photos because you now have a reference point.

The hairdresser has really made my past month hell though. I'm checking almost every day. :dunno:

I'd say nearly everybody on this board when they first thought they had hairloss started looking everyday, and you know what, in the first month or so, many people convince themselves that they'll be bald within the year, as they find more and more cruel angles that can fool the minds eye into thinking their hair loss is far worse than it is.

The hairdresser may have spoke irresponsibly, anyway you're here now, your in control of the situation, keep monitoring it, and if you think you need treatment at some point there are plenty of things out there that should be able to help, so please don't worry too much about things.

How old are you? I see no balding signs AT ALL. I don't have any before pics though.

I'm 18, so anything you see is early stages so far. Was just hoping if there aws any clues in the photos.
