The sides of my head are really thin... What is this?

It's way thinner than any other part of my hair. What could this be the result of? I don't know that it's male pattern baldness because isn't this an male pattern baldness safe region?

I'm 18M by the way.

I would get to your GP for blood tests and a dermatologist referral. Doesnt look like male pattern baldness

I agree with the polar everyone I know IRL have thinned sides compared to their tops and they are all NW1
