I've been looking on photos of hair systems lately and honestly if you match the texture and the color of your own hair they look really awesome...from the top. Here is where things get tricky, what looks really bad is not even the hairline. what looks really bad are the temples and the sides. It is biologically impossible to have so dense hair on top and so much recession on the temples, or even such a high hairline.
I know that we are members of forums who know these stuff but everyday people might not be able to tell it off, but they surely may feel something is off, unless you style them to perfection or you are a diffuse thinner with not so much recession on the sides.
If you are a norwood 3 or less or even norwood 4 with good dense hair in both donor and top then yes go for a hair transplant, but for higher norwoods and bad donor i think a minor transplant on the sides and maaybe a bit in the front hairline (like 1cm thick or less) will give the impression of a full head of hear pretty outstandingly.
(I know it's a costly thing and needs maintenance but if hair is important to you I think its worth the shot)
