As many of you know i had 114 FUE into my old Bosley strip scar with Dr Feller back in December 2004 and then another 70 grafts in November 2005.

Prior to this i couldn't dream of buzzing my hair down and the best i could do was a scissor cut by a competent barber inorder for me to disguise the widest section of my old strip scar.

Problem solved!!

Here are my new grade 4# pics!

spex, glad to see your good results!

I have a half inch scar at the lower back of my head off to the side due to an accident, and i was wondering if FUE hairs can actualy be transplanted into the scar and grow normal hair again covering up the scar? If so, would HM hair work for this aswell? I didnt know hair can be transplanted into a scar on your head and grow normal hair again. Thanks!

Yes mate - hairs can be transplanted into scars. Mine were transplanted into my old Bosley strip scar but there is no reason you could not benefit from having grafts transplanted into your scar. It all depends i suppose on how vascular the scar is - ie how much blood supply it still has!

Nice result Spex, congrats. You are absolutely correct on the bloodflow issue. I've seen both good and poor results.

stax,

I forget to mention to you that if your scar is 1/2 inch wide, you may be able to have it revised and either have a trich closure done so the hair grows through the thinner scar, or have FUE added like Spex did. Either way, you should be able to eventually wear your hair shorter if that is your goal.

At least it's not 10" wide to boot. Spex was lucky. Most others won't be. There donor will "feed the cat" so to speak.
