While some people seem to be feeling down here on the boards, I propose this interesting poll.

Great question, should spark an interesting conversation.

One vote here for jealousy. I think it is the most useless emotion in the human bag of tricks, and does nasty, insipid things to our mental outlook.

Wow. Hate is the most vicious word on the planet though. I pick hate. To me, hate, which is "lashing out" in nature, seems far more destructive than jealousy, which is destructive in a passive sense.

Im a big fan of "Inside the Actors Studio" on Bravo. They have a segment for every actor where they ask them their favorite word. Favorite sound. Least favorite word. Least favorite sound. Least favorite emotion. Hate has come up as the least favorite word more than any other.

That's my pick!

Loss of confidence (opposite of pride)?

Some days I really lack it and can't even talk to people without stutterring a bit. If pride is an emotion, I would think "lack of confidence" warrants inclusion in the poll?

Hate, loneliness and pride can be justified.

Jealousy cannot.

Hate, loneliness and pride can be creative.

Jealousy cannot.

I wish I could edit the poll now. I think love is funny but kind of true.
I think, given that we are worried about our hair loss and probably wouldnt be if we didnt want other peoples full heads-o-hair, jealousy is the worst.

Jealousy +1

Jealousy has no point or at least i can't think of anything good that comes from it.
