I'm a teacher too and have been considering this for a while but the response of the kids and staff have been a major concern. I'd really appreciate it if you provided an update on their reactions when your return to work to help inform my own decision.

Thanks

Yes I will do. What age range do you work with? I certainly wouldn't dream of dropping this on them halfway through a term, so definitely try and line things up with a holiday. I'm also in a good position as I went for the hair system option when the extent of my hairloss wasn't fully clear. I'm quietly confident the kids will accept that I grew my hair out over the summer.

Had my first day with the kids today. They had absolutely no idea. They all asked me why I'd grown my hair. Some of them thought my hair was the same but that I'd shaved my beard (I was clean shaven but they're used to a bit of stubble). One girl was even convinced that I was somehow shorter (!)

Kids take things at face value far more than adults do.

If the kids you teach don’t say anything then your most likely in the clear. Kids aren’t afraid to stare or point if something doesn’t seem right. I like hearing stories of people happy with their system, it reminds me that their is a good last resort option.
