This is Joe Hart the England football goalkeeper. He's also the current face (and hair) of Head and Shoulders shampoo in the UK and obviously going bald!!! Ok, he's a fairly good looking guy and a high profile footballer but it's still unusual to have a guy with hair like that advertising a cosmetic product let alone a shampoo! I wondered what people thought of this?

He's still holding on.

Got a transplant and using toppik in the studio.

But I expect it to fail long term just like Wesley Sneijder's.

his hair looks ridiculous, he also promotes finasteride and minoxidil, it's clearly not working for him.

It's not bad but so many of these footballers have had crap results from transplants, Rooney, Sneijder(gone back to head shave), Cannavaro, Bilic.

Salah is skating on thin ice and this latest transplant won't last long, already cutting it short.

As a 42 year old my hair inspiration these days is Martin Keown. He wears his thin locks well and no one ever ridicules it.

I've noticed that Harry Kane's transplant has failed as well.

Salah's one is starting to crumble as well.

Add it to the list of Cannavaro, Bilic, Rooney Sneijder.

I'm guessing that none of them want to take finasteride because they don't want to risk any drop in performance. The effects of lacking DHT would probably be more noticeable to an elite athlete than it would be to some guy working in an office.

The others are retired.

You shouldn't need finasteride for a transplant to work since the transplanted hairs are from non-DHT sensitive areas. Isn't it recommended to maintain existing hair - not to make a transplant work?

Donor hair isn't always fully reliable without finasteride because retrograde alopecia is quite common among those dealing with male pattern baldness. Most nw7s seem to have super sparse back and sides.

Rooney never seemed like a good hair transplant candidate to me tbh, some surgeon only operated on him because he was probably offering tens of thousands. He has always had a crap donor area and there's pics of him as a child where he already looked like he was heading towards nw3
