After browsing this and other hair loss forums over the past couple of weeks I have a growing fear that we are being held hostage with our hair loss issues.

The must be a mediator for all hair loss remedy suppliers, be it hair transplant/Vitamins/drugs, who is fighting their corner, as a hugley profitable and mostly uneffective(compared to cost) market.

Surely HM should be ready by now. Its been knocking about for years. Test it, get it out, forget all other solutions(or even get them involved somehow to ease the blow of the imminent downcrease in revenue) and let the big spenders(Bruce Willis etc) have there share and pass it on to the little guy for a better cost.

If HM is successful, and some compensation or involvement is sorted for the people providing the 'lucky if it works' cures, every body wins.

HM doesn't prevent the mechanism, as I understand it.

With HM you will pretty much have unlimited donor area (since the hair cells are multiplied)....But if you think about it, you still have to undergo a costly procedure and like Axon said, you will continue to bald so unless you are on an effective medication you will probably be getting multiple procedures in the long run.....So more $$$$$

For this issue to be really be solved, some other medication or drug much like minoxidil and finasteride/dutasteride that is more effective needs to be discovered and thus combining that with a price affordable HM procedure you will pretty much solve the bald issue.

Dont you just know that even if HM becomes available the cost will be in the $10,000's. If there's one thing that it well known its that desperate baldies will pay almost anything to get their hair back. :-x
