are you saying cal thomas got a transplant and that's why he has the look? Or he just looks like he got one?

I don't know who that is but maybe it's miniturized diffused hair.

Guys,
Cal Thomas just has a combover like he has had for years. I imagine the guy uses propecia and minoxidil, maybe nizoral and is just slowly losing what he has.
The caliber of hairs up front aren't transplanted follicles in Cal, they are just too small. He also probabaly uses Toppik or Couvre. Be careful when you evaluate transplant photos................Toppik and Couvre can be used to make these appear much better than they are along with flash photography and directional lighting with shading over the top. Tricky stuff.
