Hey all, I have been using Finasteride (about 1mg a day), Kirkland Minoxidil (on my side and front hairline), and Nizoral every few days.

I hung in for the shedding for about the first 6 weeks, and after that for a while it seemed like the side hairline was getting better. But the past few weeks, I have noticed that the front hairline is actually receding more rapidly and is the furthest it has been for.

Is this just another shedding phase of Minoxidil or permanent loss? I have stopped applying Minoxidil to the front hairline area now.

For me, I believe that minoxidil on the hairline made it worse. Of course i will never have proof of what would have happened otherwise, but the worst thinning (where there is barely any hair left) is in a small 'nick' in the left side of my hairline which is exactly where i applied the minoxidil.

Yeesh, I didn't realize I would be making my hairline worse using it. I thought it could only do benefit or be neutral.

Anybody else have any input?

gh05, the hairs on my hairline appear to have just shedded off and do not come back. It appears worse than when it would have if the hair was naturally balding on its own. Is that how it was for you?
