I'll actually miss Maher. He was entertaining if nothing else. The others, not so much

The rating system is designed in a fashion so that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The higher your rating the more valuable your reputations become. The lower your rating the less valuable your reputation comments become. If you have a negative rating you can't give or take any points to anyone. Although those guys had low ratings they weren't ever going to get better ones even if their posts started getting better. If they wanted to rate someone's post as good the person receiving it just as likely would think they were receiving a negative rating and turn back and dish out negative points to them. That being said most of those guys were nw1 trolls. But really the only reason they had negative ratings was because they were making outrageous claims that nofap can prevent hair loss. This is wrong information and so they deserved their negative ratings.

Me personally, I find the reputation system helpful so we know who's serious and who's causing problems. Yes, if you have a negative rating, you can't give or take away points.

I'm curious though, how did the whole reputation system start? What I mean is, when you have no established rating, you still cannot give or take away points just like someone who has a negative rating. So who's the first person with the positive rating?​

The rating system is nowhere near perfect, but it is useful in determining the quality and usefulness of someones posts. I highly doubt anybody will be in the extreme negative unless they are spreading complete BS.

Correct me if I am wrong but aren't you the guy with a full thick head of hair that asked what norwood you are? I'm guessing that's the reason.
