Does a increase in Testosterone mean a increase in DHT levels? In that case wouldn't any fitness routines or muscle building circuits cause an increase in DHT? I'm about 2 weeks into a fitness and muscle building routine and I'm expieriencing a shed , could this be the cause of it?

I hear that when you start Finasteride, the ratio is higher because your body is compensating for the lack of DHT conversion. Then it evens out over time.

What "ratio" are you talking about?

You get more T because that T was to be converted to DHT. That's why you have more T.

I assume you meant that the testosterone to DHT ratio goes UP, not DOWN, when you start taking finasteride. But I'm not sure what you mean when you say that it "evens out" over time.

I think there's more to it than just that. I think there's a true upregulation in testosterone synthesis when you suppress DHT. I believe the body does that in an effort to maintain androgenic stimulation.

Nah. The sharp reduction in DHT is a more significant factor than the small increase in testosterone.

Would this increase in T continue for as long as you take finasteride? or does it settle down after a bit?

I would expect it to continue as long as you take finasteride.
