Wow! Great results man. I saw this and went back to your older pics and there’s a lot of thickening and regrowth. I’m impressed. You should post your first picture and next to these current one just to show the improvement.Took update pictures today. This is right after a shower, towel dried hair. Took pictures in harsh light and normal light.

Sounds good mate, hopefully it keeps coming through for you next month should be telling but looks promising.Honestly, its been a rollercoaster the last 2 months. I saw a bunch of vellus come in and it gave an appearance of progress, then I had a very bad itch and shredded really badly, I was worse than baseline. Now it seems like some of that vellus hair is coming back transitional.
It is very easy for me to tell new growth because my hair is kinda long now so the new growth stands out when I look close. Applying dermmatch it becomes obvious there is a difference because I have more styling options now. Before, dermmatch alone looked bad everywhere but the front of mid section before styling it. Now, dermmatch alone makes everything but the crown passable before styling. With styling I don't need fibers with how my coverage is when the new hair is coated with dermmatch and thickened to where it should be if it was healthy hair.
I use nizoral once to twice a week. I'm waiting for otezla to arrive in the mail. I have mild untreated psoriasis on my scalp, mostly sides where my hair is really thick and covers it.I mean. I don't know. It seems like a lot of effort and oral min usually seems to work. But it can take up to a year to kick in for balding patches so you might still get some coverage that is cosmetically significant. You are on some of the best treatments available but you might want to add a couple of dandruff shampoos for inflammation.
I am with you. I have been at this 36 years without giving up. I just found a great article on inflammation:I use nizoral once to twice a week. I'm waiting for otezla to arrive in the mail. I have mild untreated psoriasis on my scalp, mostly sides where my hair is really thick and covers it.
I read studies where using otezla to treat scalp psoriasis caused nsar full regrowth for guys with thin hair. The before pictures looked real close to my style of hair loss, so hopingnit helps out even a little.
It is definitely a lot of work doing it this way, but after 2 years on oral without being happy with my hair something had to change.
I added a LLLT, iRestore on December 11th. If they helps, it should be kicking in within the next 4 months according to their money back guarantee. If by this time I'm not happy with my progress I will return the device and use the money towards a hair transplant and call it good. Only reason I didn't get 1 yet was the psoriasis all over donor area, but ADC has otezla, and I figured I'd give it a shot, it seems effective for my skin issue.
If I do a transplant I'll make a new thread because I'm going to have them do it in sections rather than all at once in order to minimize shockloss and improve how many grafts can survive. I'm a pro with concealers now, so doing it in sections and it looking funny until I finish won't matter, I'll be able to cover it up and make it look natural.
Yup, exactly. That's why now I'm self prescribing otezla and fighting my psoriasis. I never worried about it because it isnt on any visible skin. I've been so focused on my hair that I put zero worry into it. Now there's a high possibility they are linked.I am with you. I have been at this 36 years without giving up. I just found a great article on inflammation:
Scalp Condition Impacts Hair Growth and Retention via Oxidative Stress
As can be seen from the summary of scalp abnormalities, the most common manifestation to hair emerged from an unhealthy scalp is an altered cuticle with evidence of surface pitting, roughness, cuticle rigidity, or breakage. In some cases, the impact is manifested as shine reduction. In addition to the physical changes, there are biochemical alterations observed in hair emerged from an unhealthy scalp, with both protein and lipid components affected, most commonly by oxidative damage.[17,61,66,67]
Finally, a number of observations have found that premature hair loss may be caused by the poor scalp health associated with either dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis,[62,63,64] or psoriasis,[68,69] indicating that the effect on the preemergent hair fiber may alter the anchoring force of the fiber with the follicle, as evidenced by an increased proportion both of catagen and telogen,[74,75] and of dysplastic anagen hairs (anagen hairs devoid of hair root sheaths)[75,76] in the trichogram (hair pluck).
When I had my beard largely removed, my dermatitis disappeared with it. When I went on oral Min, it brought it back somewhat so I lowered my oral Min dosage to ~5mg daily. My beard follicles don't even grow but there's evidence that the follicles themselves synthesize DHT even in castrates. DHT never goes gently into the night. Acne, dermatitis, psoriasis, hair loss; Goddess-damn bugger leave us alone.....Yup, exactly. That's why now I'm self prescribing otezla and fighting my psoriasis. I tried head and shoulders, it left my hair feeling nice, but wasn't much different than nizoral for overall scalp health. I definitely believe the inflammation is key. I need to get back into microneedling, but I hate doing it if I know I'll be wearing concealers within 2 days. With the amount of fuzz that I have on my head I can pull off the illusion of no hair loss if I use dermmatch and fibers. My profile picture is with just dermmatch. I have shoulder length hair and with styling it works out.I have been using keto and an aspirin-based shampoo but I might add Selsun Blue as well. H&S is least harsh on hair so I might start that one too. The Polysorbates might be helpful as well. You look like you are on the cusp of a break-through but I think I see inflammation that could be hindering you. Also, the micro-needling might be key if you have any fibrotic material but I would go 1.5mm to 2.5mm. I am currently using 2.0mm tonight but I have a 2.5 roller on the way:

I used to bleed much more on the smaller gauges. With the 2.0mm and up, you don't need to apply pressure really at all. Before my scalp was sore for at least 12 hours but I don't have that now. I have a couple of bloody hair warrior pics from the days when some "experts" said that you had to draw blood for it to be effective. Try it lightly on your face too because it can take years off facial skin and diminish the neck roll that many of us get. I have been doing the areas of my arms that are exposed by short sleeves too. DR is revolutionary and can be used head to toe. You don't want it to hurt but to make it almost hurt.I tried head and shoulders, it left my hair feeling nice, but wasn't much different than nizoral for overall scalp health. Most people over wash their hair. I use to wash daily, now its usually every 2, sometimes 3 days, but I'll use a dry shampoo between if my scalp feels too oily or if my hair texture feels off. By day 4 I have to wash it or it feels absolutely disgusting.I used to bleed much more on the smaller gauges. With the 2.0mm and up, you don't need to apply pressure really at all. Yeah my issue with Nizoral is that once the scalp environment has less sebum, Keto, actually, since it's 2 percent, it strips too much oil away so I am thinking H&S might be less harsh. That shampoo was a much bigger deal when I was a kid and many folks used it daily. Maybe that's why hair loss is on the rise?
I haven't washed my hair in three weeks. I am cheating of course by using estrogen but hey, I paid my hair dues and I was a complete cueball 18 months ago and now I almost have my 19 year old hairline back. I can part it in the middle again and I don't have to do the sweep it back and over modified comb-over.Most people over wash their hair.
