terminal hairs

Hi Guys been of and on finasteride now for the past 3 or so years, been back on it now for around 13 Months at the start I noticed a lot of shedding around the hair line, over the past few weeks I’ve noticed a fair few dark thick hairs around my hairline starting to come up there probably around 2-3mm in length at the moment but are noticeable due to how thick and dark they appear to be, are these terminal hairs and am I right in thinking that these hairs could be around for the next 3-7 years

I suppose what I’m asking is is this a good sign?

Can I ask why you come on and off finasteride please mate? I thought the idea was to always stay on it? I started using finasteride about a year ago, it took about 6 months or so to start working but now I seem to be losing hair again for some reason
