Temporal recession means male pattern baldness ?

Hi

I have temporal recession on both sides of my head. I am wondering if this means I got male pattern baldness.
here is the pics

Since I hadn't care about my hair much, I don't know whether it's my hair pattern since I was born or I just developed this kind of recession when I became teen.
Any reply is appreciated, thank you.

First you need to decide if your hair is thin naturally or it became thin

It is quite difficult to me because as I said, I have never cared my hair before so I have no idea whether it just became thin or thin naturally.
By the way, I feel like my hair is dense on both side of my head and the back. The top of my head and a bit both sides are not so dense.
Any other comments?

crown thinning is a much better indicator of whether you are starting to bald. Check your crown regulalrly, or better yet get somebody else to

I heard people use the word "temporal recession". I think it derives from temporal lobe.

I dont think there is such a thing as mature hairlines. Any loss minor or not is hair loss and should be treated but our current treatments might not help it.

a large percentage of men get a mature hairline in their 20s when the front and temples recede, but then the recession stops, and they might not lose any more hair for the next 30-40 years if they're lucky. I suppose you could say that's the start of male pattern baldness

if you start to experience crown thinning as well like I did, then it's pretty obvious it's the beginning of male pattern baldness and you jump on Propecia. If the crown is fine then it's a gamble, how long to leave it before getting on the meds? It's simply impossible to know when and how badly more recession will occur. Not even a hair doctor will be able to tell you with certainty

Like I said you call minor hair loss at front and temples any term you would like but its still hair loss and I would guess its miniaturized just like any other hair in male pattern baldness. Overall though I do agree.

Yes, hair crown evolution is a better, early and more reilable test for common baldness. The problem is that crown is not easy to see as the front line....

I wouldn't worry about it yet. Your hairline still looks pretty thick. Minimal receeding if anything at all, but it doesn't appear to me your losing your hair yet. If I were you I would just keep an eye on it over the nrxt 6 mos or year to see where your at.

actually I would recommend that once he hits 20 years, any man concerned about his hair should get into the habit of carefully monitoring the crown area, preferably getting someone else such as a hairdresser or friend to scrutinise it every few months - even have pictures taken and compare them to previous photos. That way he can have a reasonably reliable way of telling if he's starting to thin, and can nip male pattern baldness in the bud before it gets too bad.

I wish I had started taking finasteride a couple of years before I did - and that's a regret I hear a lot of men on here say

Wish I'd started finasteride in 06 while my temple points were still good. They're what bothers me more than my hairline, since I worked out I've always had a big forehead with a high hairline.
