what is better? no temples or some good looking temples (im not speaking of a Norwood 3 which doesnt look good in my opinion.), i mean some Norwood 1.5-2 temples.

yesterday i looked much on hairlines of guys and i saw that most have got temples. most guys are Norwood 1.5-2. and i suspect they didnt got hairloss. a few got Norwood 1 hairlines though.

so whats better in your opinion? some normal looking temples (i hope you know what i mean. i mean just some normal recision, not temples where you can tell balding) or a straight Norwood 1 hairline?

if you could choose , what would you take?

by the way, my brother like many others got such "normal" temples. he has them since puberty. if my hair improves more now in the next months i can get there.

its a pretty important question for me since i got the money and enough information to get a hair transplant and im wondering if my hair gets to that point where i only have normal temples, if i should do a hair transplant in that case.

some thoughts of myself about that topic. i think some hairstyles only look good on a straight Norwood 1 hairline. so you got a bit less options. but do you really need to be able to wear every hair cut which is out there? i mean, you only need one, one which suits you and with which you look good.

some actor which i alwas compare my hairline to is pierce brosnan. and i think his hair looks pretty good, especially for a 50years + old.

i dont remind some more actors who got "normal" temples.

if you want to get an idea what i mean (i think you should got that by now) then look at barcafan's pic or on my pic under "tell your story". thats what i mean.

Everyone has temples. I think you mean guys who have no/little hair there

I think a lot of guys who have a minor recession look better than some guys with a perfect hairline.

ya, i think im of the same opinion. a bit recission looks good.

what really looks ridiculous is some transplants where the hairline is transplanted so straight and even that it looks unnatural. i ve seen that. i mean nothing against a natural Norwood 1 hairline which looks surely good. but minor recission or a little bit more (still looking like natural recission) even looks good. Norwood 2 is critical though. its the point where it starts to look bad. a Norwood 3 in my opinion doesnt look good. best is something between Norwood 1 - 2. or Norwood 1 or 2. everything in that area looks good. though it depends on what you call a Norwood 2. some Norwood 2's dont look good anymore. because they just look receeded by hairloss. if thats the case it doesnt look good.

it all depends.

but still all Norwood 2-3 can look ok. it all depends on how it looks like. its all different. my brother is about a Norwood 2 and it looks good. or jude law, his Norwood 3 looks ok. but i know a guy from my old school who is Norwood 3 and it doesnt look good.

still all this discussion is about the hairline. many guys - like me - even got thinning. i can conceal my thinning with the right style but still , my looks thin at the front. it doesnt bother me that much anymore because it looks good somehow. normal people cant tell im balding.

im not sure what to do. i will add fluridil to my regmimen and hope that my thinning goes completey away and i get about the density of the sides of my head (which is not complety dense though - look at the back - the hair is much thicker there. and normal hair on top is as thick as this. lucky us that we dont need full density to get a "dense look". ).

i know guys without hairloss who got "thin" hair too. it all depends - like with the hairline.

i will let you guys be updated about my progress. for now i can say my hair looks ok. look my picture under "neo1234's story" .

and please post your opinion about this topic!

I still dont know what a nw2 or 3 actually looks like. That Norwood scale is no good at all. Need to see pictures of real peoples hairlines in order to judge.
Also, I hear alot of people saying they have a v-shape hairline, when clearly its more of a U-shape. There is a big difference.

Jude Law is farther along than NW3, I would say he is heading toward complete frontal baldness with a thin little strip. He takes the top side hair and covers his temples with it, making it look like a Norwood 3, heck even a Norwood 2 at times.
