Tanning salon after a hair transplant?

How long after surgery should one wait to tan, provided that the scalp is completely covered (bandana & hat)? I want to re-gain some color but not at the expense of putting my grafts at risk!

I'm two months post-op and was going to resume tanning in another month. Should I wait longer?

Check with your surgeon if I were you but you should be OK; I was getting my hair coloured six weeks after my hair transplant (though I did ask the stylist to not go right to the base of the root).
