SERMs like Tamox are good for gyno but an AI is much more effective. SERMs often create an estrogen rebound and don't necessarily decrease estrogen in the body.

Aromasin should be your first choice for gyno if it is only mild

Severe gyno? Letro

Armidex is also useful but the above two are best.

btw Raloxifene is the most superior SERM for gyno and has less of increase in Test then Nolva. However if your on Propecia I doubt the increase in Test woul effect your hairline on either SERM

Thanks for the reply, I've halved my dosage of propecia to 0.5mg a day and slowly transitioning to eod. I just ordered spirolactone night cream which i will use after my application of minoxidil 5%.
I'm starting to realize after some searching on the web/forums that propecia may have negative effect on the frontal scalp since it is predominantly effective for the vertex/crown area and also increases testosterone. This increase is said to negatively effect the frontal scalp which I've noticed immensely since starting propecia and wonder if staying on the drug is even worth it.

that's a misconception because the trials only tested Propecia at the top and crown, so they couldn't officially state that finasteride would work for the front (the same with minoxidil I think).

I see no reason why finasteride, if it works for someone, wouldn't work all over the Norwood area. As for causing you to actually lose hair in the front? What's the theory behind that?

Not really a theory just an observation. The main reason I started propecia was for the crown. My frontal scalp was full with hair, very dense. During my time on the drug I'd shed with no real remission.. Everyone said it was normal so I continued. The shedding was apparent but not alarming. I was loosing hair in the frontal region also, where I never had a problem... Hairs that were falling were thick otherwise normal looking hair. 4 months later my frontal scalp is noticeable under light and continues to shed with no regrowth. I'd be happy to just keep what I have but shedding is getting very discouraging, I'm planning on tapering off propecia and seeing the result of spironolactone n minoxidil.

The hair line is subject to the same pathways of hair loss as the vertex/crown. Therefore the same means would be required to either preserve or regrow hair in that area.

Tamoxifen has a lot of data on being effective vs gyno. But in my experience it has the nastiest sides (compared to letro, and ralox).

I can take 10 mg of tamox and it gives me pins and needles numb sensation in my legs. In the severe it gives me hives itching sensation in my legs. I can't take the stuff.

They won't increase your hair loss if you are taking propecia.

I was told to discontinue the use of my propecia by my Doctor :( .... I asked if there was anything i could do for the pseudogyno and he said nothing besides surgery or discontinuing the drug and it may regress...... false. To be honest i'm kind of nervous to order for online pharmacies, is it safe? I'm not as concerned with the actual medication as much as the delivery process, I don't want to get in a dispute over boob pills.
