Taking Medication Can Trigger Hair Loss?

Hello friends,

so I am not sure, if I do really have male pattern baldness or not as my hair is very thin and my cowlick very big. Additionally, my hair is dark while my skin is very pale which makes it easy for the scalp to shine through.
However, I am leaning towards that I might have it so as to prevent any further hair thinning (I do NOT have hair loss, but only ''thinning'' on my vertex.. as said I could be wrong about that) I might want to try out Finasteride.
My question now is:
Can taking medication trigger hair loss/thinning although you don't have any MBP to begin with?
Also can the medication trigger the stimulation of MBP in the sense that the process starts earlier than it would without medication?
For example: In case I have MBP, let's say it will kick in naturally once I hit 35 years old, but since I use Finasteride at my current age (25 years old) the process of my natural occuring MBP is accelerated to let's say, when I am 27 years old. So when I stop taking Finasteride after two years at the age of 27, will I have MBP due to the acceleration?
I know it's just a what-if scenario, but I am kinda worried, because I am unsure if I really DO have MBP, so I do not want to use Finasteride recklessly.

I hope you guys can help me with this question and thank you in advance!

Kind regards,
Jemal

Medication can cause hairloss. Some can even kickstart mbp.

Some have said they shed hairs on the beginning of finasteride. Not sure what mechanics in finasteride would trigger this but i guess it can happen.

It all depends on the hair. Some peoples hair can withstand a nuke. Some get bald by looking at the mirror. Life aint always fair in this regard.
