Taking dutasteride with finasteride

Hey been on finasteride for years and while its been maintaining my hair quite well I really want to get some gains to fill out my thin spots and went to the doctors today to get a script for Dutasteride. I got zero side effects from pretty high dose of finasteride so im assuming i wont get any on dutasteride.

Will I be fine to take dutasteride as well as finasteride? I dont really want to stop finasteride so my chances at getting gains is the best it can be even if its the tiniest % difference at reducing DHT levels I think its worth it unless any of you have any serious reasons not to take them together

if you are taking dutasteride there is no point in taking finasteride. It would be like opening an umbrella inside a house when it's raining. So just stop the finasteride. Also, you wont get any magical regrowth. If you didn't get any with finasteride you probably wont get any with dutasteride, maybe just a little

Its pointless taking both but if you switch from finasteride to dutasteride alternate between days so take finasteride one day and then dutasteride the next and so on so your body gradually wanes off one and on to the other, that way your avoiding any hormonal imbalances that might induce a shed or side effects.

You won't need to continue taking Finasteride if you're going to take Dutasteride. There would be no point in taking both since Dutasteride is stronger. Besides taking both, I really don't think Finasteride will inhibit DHT that Dutasteride already isn't inhibiting.

In theory there is no point in taking both but there are cases where people seem to respond better to finasteride. I dont understand this but it appears to be the case for some people.

For this reason only, I can see some logic in taking both just until efficacy of dutasteride is known.
