Taking 0.5 dutasteride / week and 0.5 finasteride everyday

You think it's a good idea ? With the long half life of dutasteride...

I saw a study that 0.5 dutasteride / week and 0.5 finasteride everyday really work.

What do you think ? Any guys here who do that ?

I mean all the week on finasteride, but the monday only dutasteride thanks for your advice

I would like to know people's thoughts on this also. There is a study but it was only one person so pretty lame but I have read about people having good results on taking dutasteride, once or twice a week and the rest of the time staying on finasteride.

There is the argument of why bother taking finasteride when you're already on dutasteride but I think the logic would be that you would want to limit your intake of dutasteride (stronger drug, less long term research conducted etc.), and continue finasteride as your main drug, since you are taking reduced amounts of dutasteride.

Interested in opinions.

Dutasteride should have saturation effect on inhibiting the 5-alpha-reductase enzymes making finasteride redundant. If the cause of the side effects is the reduction DHT levels then there should be negligable difference with taking additional finasteride or not unless there is inhibition of other enzymes such as perhaps 5-beta-reductase? I don't know.

I'd just take it anyday if you can afford it money wise and side effect wise. Take a look at the link I posted, it shows that 0.5mg ED inhibits he most scalp DHT, even though the difference is not that big compared to 2 days on, 1 day off.
