Lol, in their 40s and 50s, massively successful musician millionaires. Yet they still fear going bald:

‘Howard's biggest worry now is keeping his full head of hair, admitting he fears he would have been booted from the band if he had started to go bald.

He adds: 'I've been fearing going bald since I was 18, seriously, I have. We would have had a new member if I'd have got a bald patch.'

This is how the music industry has been for the past 20 yrs. It's not about talent, it's about looks. If a 1983 era Phil Collins were an up and comer these days, he wouldn't be given a chance.

So what about Mac DeMarco, Justin Vernon, or literally every band member of The National? Granted, Take That as a boy group with a target group of teenagers is a different calibre but that's not what Collins was going for either. It's not that black and white.

Ed Sheeran has been rocking a combover for years too. Sam Smith is a NW3.5 at this point and rocks it with pride..

Sheeran has had a hair transplant too. I bet the dude would be a solid Norwood 4 by now without it.

I mean look where that hair is coming from.

every band fears going bald.

"Bald"

It would appear that male pattern
baldness has set in
his hair, at an alarming pace
running away from his face
he's losing his virility
and now his masculinity
has been compromised
and his libido down-sized

Not for me, not for me, not for me, uh-uh
not for me, not for me, heaven forbid
it's not for me you understand

Bald, slap headed and hairless
bald he is destined to be
bald, well tonight thank God it's him instead of me.

From what I have been reading
his scalp needs kneading
to stimulate each follicle
and reverse this diabolical
condition that's afflicted he
for years and has cruelly
repulsed each potential mate
and left him with a balding pate

Not for me, not for me, not for me, uh-uh
not for me, not for me, heaven forbid
it's not for me you understand

Bald, slap headed and hairless
bald he is destined to be
bald, well tonight thank God it's him instead of me.

Sock it to me baby, yeah!

Not for me, not for me, not for me, uh-uh
not for me, not for me, heaven forbid
it's not for me you understand

Not for me, not for me, not for me, uh-uh
not for me, not for me, heaven forbid
it's not for me you understand

Bald, slap headed and hairless
bald he is destined to be
bald, well tonight thank God it's him instead of me.
Thank God!

Bald, slap headed and hairless
bald he is destined to be
bald, well tonight thank God it's him instead of me.
How?

Dude looks OK now though. He's got that Aerosmith rockstar vibe which gives you a lot of mileage you wouldn't otherwise have.
