what's the difference? which one is better to use w/ Propecia and nizoral 2%.

well you don't have to add either. Constantly using medicated shampoos may have a negative effect on your scalp. If you choose one just start by using it occasionaly.....Use a good conditioner too.

In the USA, T/Gel's active ingredient is coal tar. T/Sal's active ingredient is Salacylic Acid.....T/gel is more of a fungus fighter and T/sal works by getting rid of dead skin.
Pretty sure that's how each works but if someone has a better description please add it.

Coal tar is not especially a fungus fighter. The active ingredient in Nizoral is a fungus fighter; maybe that's what you are thinking of. Coal tar has been used for years to combat skin irritations, including psoriasis and eczema. It is safe to use every day if you wish, although you will probably want to use a conditioner at least some of the time. Thus T-Gel is effective in fighting general skin inflammations, such as you might get by using topicals such as Revivogen and sometimes minoxidil. T-Gel has a 1% coal tar concentration. I find it to be very effective in combatting scalp irritation.
