Guys, when I went to buy T/Gel shampoo at my local pharmacy, I saw two types of T/Gel shampoo. One with Coal Tar 2%-4% another with Salicylic Acid 2%. I didn’t know which one to buy, though I end up buying T/gel coal tar 4% as it was extra strength. However just yesterday, I was reading an article on Coal Tar that it might cause skin cancer. So I am afraid of using it. Any one else using it? What do u think?

Also, does Coal tar and Salicylic Acid have any certain advantage over other? I have severe sebum & dandruff problem. Which one should I use? Thank you.

i think cassin's the expert on this one - but he's on hiatus.

i also think people use both varieties equally as much.

if it helps any, Dr. Lee's 2% nizoral-like shampoo has salysilic acid in it.

Both help with dandruff but as you say the coal tar version has been banned in some States in the US because of the cancer fears.

I think most people use the salicylic acid version.

Thanks, I think that’s the one u are talking about
https://www.xandrox.com/Ketoconazole%20 ... hampoo.htm

I am just wondering if anybody used this product?
Also, what is the reputation of dr lee’s product? as it looks like a home based company. Also I am kind of afraid to buy anything online.

I see! Thanks. I will go and buy T/Gel salicylic acid today and if possible I will try to get dr. lee’s shampoo too. But damn! that coal tar one was working better than nizoral for my sebum problem.
