The side effects have destroy my sexual life so I decide to switch from finasteride to spironolactone. Its also cheaper. The only problem is that I had used also dutasteride some months ago which means that it will take a lot of time for the sides to come back to normal...

Also I didnt see any serious change because of finasteride during the last 9 months, apart from the minoxidil which I take for the last 1.5 year.

you were taking 2 mg of finasteride every day?...

and then you switched to dutasteride?..

may i ask how long you were on finasteride...and whether it helped at all with either maintainence or regrowth?..

Good luck, I dont think spironolactone is as good as either finasteride or dutasteride but if you have serious side effects then its probably your best option to stop DHT.

You might want to try combining it with revivogen, as they can work synergistically, I believe this is the regimen HairLossTalk.com uses.

started in dec2004 finasteride and about feb2005 i switched to dutasteride and in march again in finasteride. yes around 1.5-2.0 mg finasteride. I didnt see any regrowth in my temples except for some small vellus hair which I had gained with minoxidil (started dec2003). Anyway I cant say that dht-blockers helped me as much as I thought
