I am planning on switching from finasteride to dutasteride once my supply of finasteride runs out. I am taking 2.5mg of finasteride a day. Any recomendations on how much dutasteride to take per day? Does anyone use more than .5mg per day? Is there a loading phase for dutasteride?

im on mo 5 now of finasteride.
i also am getting worried - not so much about the lack of results, but b/c of the acceleration of deterioration. to me it seems as though my front hairline, esp the 'widows peak' has taken a real turn for the worse lately.
my question is how do you switch from propecia to dutasteride w/o sudden loss? to you overlap? do you just take Propecia until you run out and then take dutasteride on a daily basis? im on 1mg/day propecia.
any info appreciated

theres no need to take more than 0.5 mg its plenty strong enough.
with regard to switching i just started taking it as soon as it arrived
and nothing untoward happened to me though others may think its better to make a smoother transition by overlapping. i wouldnt really know why
there would be much advantage in it though.

i'd go with 0.5 mg every day if you want it to be significantly better than Propecia.

because it's a pain in the *** compared to taking a pill. i've never used it and i will only add it if necessary in the future.
