which is the "generic" version of Proscar.

Now, I see a lot of posters here who follow the Proscar program by taking 1/4 tablets of Proscar daily, skipping a day in a week. Are there any guys here who have been using Fincar regularly, and would you vouch for this generic over the brand name Proscar?

http://www.inhousepharmacy.com/generics/fincar.html

I've purchased from this site to buy Finpecia and they're pretty reliable. But I just wanted a second opinion on the actual effecdtiveness of Fincar if anyone's used it and experienced success.

Thanks

the active ingredient in both proscar and fincar is the same. finasteride.

dont listen to people who tell you the generic one doesnt work just as well, all they're concerned about is the equal distribution of finasteride in the generic version.

get your fincar from http://www.cybermedicinestore.com ..cheapest i've seen online.

Proscar vs. Propecia (1.25 Mil vs. 1 Mil)

Thanks for the reply, but can you vouch that Proscar/Generic is indeed more effective than Propecia/Generic?

On this board I've seen users state that all Proscar pills should be quartered 1.25 Mil and that the whole pill should not be swallowed. What is the Delta of success between 1 Mil vs. 1.25 Mil daily?

From my experience of using Finpecia after proscar, i seriously doubt it's effectiveness and feel that i was alot better off with proscar. I have just ordered Proscar... frankly i'd rather pay a few extra bucks and cut the pills and have peace of mind than this finpecia/fincar stuff.

Care to elaborate? You can't just make a statement like that and expect anyone to accept it as an argument against generics. What exactly happened? It sounds to me like it is just in your mind.

I am just telling you what i have experienced with generics. I think my hair was going quite okay when i was on 1/5th proscar but after using finpecia, there has been alot of shedding and the hair is at its' all time lowest. Now i am going to switch back to proscar. Ultimately its for u to decide whats better for u. Good luck!
