Hello everyone,

In July or maybe even June I switched from finasteride to dutasteride due to my hairline worsening a bit (after almost 10 successful years on finasteride). My hair was shedding pretty badly at the beginning of the treatment. Now after 9 or ten months the shedding has reduced, but its still there and My hairline is still itching. Is this a (sort of) common phenomenon? Should I just wait it out and will it stabilize? Or is there even a chance of thickening/regrowth after a year on this stuff?

I started using minoxidil and Spectral DNC-N again to combat inflammation and to hopefully stabilize my harline.

Curious to your thoughts, just keep on using Duta? If

Even though you have been shedding, has your hair more or less stayed the same?

There is a story on here from a user (forgot his name) who itched all throughout treatments (he was on dutasteride and minoxidil) yet he had regrowth and didn't lose ground.

EDIT: Found the guy

Well my hairline is now higher, I had a lot of thin small hairs underneath the hairline, and my GF and I where wondering if those were new hairs, or old hairs that were slowly (or not so slowly actually :p) dying. Besides the hairline my hair looks just a full!

so finasteride maitained your hair well ? no sides after all those years ?
Yes it worked really really well, especially since I started losing my hair visibly at age 18. That means I got it pretty bad! By visibly I mean visible to myself. I jumped on finasteride pretty early.
