Mono is fishing string, Swiss lace is the finest lace, French lace is a step thicker than Swiss lace.... Comfort is going to be best with Swiss lace number two will be French and mono will be the worst of the bunch.

Agreed. There's not that much difference between French and Swiss lace, but monofilament is something else. It is breathable, but it's not designed to be undetectable. It's like the stuff mosquito screens are made of.

Also agree, but I do think that mono nowadays is much better than it used to be.., fishing string or mosquito net no more. .. more like nylon thread, same diameter as a sewing thread.
Some pieces , sold as fine welded mono, are as undetectable. I have wore one such piece but did not find much difference than swiss, in fact mono was more expensive than swiss, so reverted back to swiss.
Examples of such fine mono piece

I do have a piece i bought on amazon which I am anxious to try..and show you guys...it is coarser than swiss or the fine mono, but detectable as it is shinier.. more to come

Honestly, I want to try a mono unit badly.

I've tried French Lacec and near-UTS Full-Poly, and, to me, I don't find any of them "undetectable" - at least to touch.

What's up with fine-weilded mono - it looks like lace, but is stronger?

Fine welded mono is a bit stronger than swiss. The lordhair description is a bit exaggerated...it can tear...but I find it does not fray as easily as swiss lace. It is as undetectable as lace. The superhairpieces unit is single knotted so that could help in being undetectable if you have darker hair. ( knots not as big). Density is low with both suppliers.

Ive had both; not that much difference between Swiss and French The former is a little thinner and the latter more durable from rips and tears. Equally breathable. They say French more detectable but I didn't see that much difference.

Mono is more suitable for heavyweight hair pieces like full caps.
