Bald patch

Provided there was even a bit of hair back there, I could use Dermatch or Nanogen to completely conceal it. A receding hairling is much harder to hide.

Well, this is my two cents.

Bald Patch at crown:

Pros:

1. Most of us are often oblivious to crown hairloss because we cant or dont check it everyday unless we use a mirror. So ignorance is bliss.

2. Crown hairloss has a greater potential to grow back than receded temples.

Cons:

1. A bald patch at the crown is incredibly goofy looking and as a young male more people are likely to comment or make fun of it.

Receded temples:

Pros:

1. If you have a low forehead like Jude Law you can totally make it work for you, by doing a cool mini mo-hawk type style. But if you have a big forehead ur pretty much screwed.

2. Receded temples is a little more accepted than crown hairloss and people are less likely to make fun.

Cons:

1. Hairline is almost impossible to re-grow.

2. Makes you look alot older than you actually are.

WINNER: Crown Hairloss. But not by much.

Just goes to show - Different strokes for Different folks..

I don't think even Jude Law could pull a bald patch off as he does with his receeding hairline.

For my part I just think it's a matter of "the grass being greener"... I only have thinning on my crown and have a normal hairline. However, I'd much prefer some mild recession to my crown thinning...
