hey everyone,

over the last 2-3 months, my hairline has been extremely itchy on an intermittent basis. its been winter here in Canada and the skin is usually dry and itchy but I have never had this before. my whole hairline has been receding over many years with no itching.

I have tried all types of shampoos and even used nizoral 2% 3 times a week. tea tree oils, etc and nothing seems to work!

I also want to add that I have also developed rashes on my body, and neck which I cortisone cream for. the general doctor I saw didn't prescribe me anything for my scalp.

has anyone ever had the same itch or can offer any suggestions? thanks!

This is typical with male pattern baldness. You know what works for me? Keto 2% cream. Its like the shampoo, but in cream form. Not sure if it would regrow hair, but it certainly stops it from shedding so much, and gets rid of the itch. I had to order mind on ebay, but it was super cheap. The version I got was called "Nizral". Works wonders and if you look up the japanese studies it showed to regrow hair. Its part of the "big 3" for a reason.

Same thing here. You know the back of my head itched a lot and my hair there thinned out. Recently my frontal hairline itches like crazy and guess what my hair is shedding there, its oily, and I have miniaturizing hair there. Each area it itches in is where I start losing hair. I think its a very slow male pattern baldness and I am seriously debating propecia just because I have no idea what else to try since I tried every shampoo on earth.
