Sun damaged hair - what should I do?

I am 17 years old, and only just went back from holiday. I stood in the sun for no more than 2 days, but I had no sunscreen protection or hat. I am quite sunburnt and I can guess my scalp is too, but hair at the front of my head(where my quiff is) is visibly less thick at the roots and I can totally remember it wasn't like this before the sun damage. I didn't really see any hair falling out when washing it, and it's quite a short hairstyle too. I'm almost certain that it's all due to the severe sun, what do you think? Is it reversible?

The pictures are taken in macro, so it's not as big as it looks, though it still bothers me. It's like a spot or a parting in my hairline, which has been there since I was born but it was only now to become rather visible, especially under artificial light. Also, as I said in the previous post, hair around this spot too is kind of thin at the roots. I don't know much about sun damage and could it cause something like this, but I am certain this wasn't the case before I was exposed to the sun. I plan to get a buzz cut because if my hair is as long as it is now I doubt it will get better. Please tell me what you think and give me some advice!
