Greetings everyone. I have been using Rogaine for about 6 years to fight androgenetic alopecia, with satisfying results. Unfortunately, since last june, my hair loss has suddenly increased and become quite noticeable. Has Rogaine stopped working? Should I just stop getting it and look for other ways of dealing with the problem?

Your body eventually starts to build up a tolerance to Rogaine just like propecia, 6 years seems right on time actually. Try to get higher % minoxidil or make your own as a last resort with minoxidil powder + solvent base.

You should look for more ways for the problem, but if you stop minoxidil then you will lose even more hair. Are you taking the big three (minoxidil, nizoral and finas)? Also, there comes a point where an hair transplant might be necessary if you want to keep your natural hair.

I'm reluctant to take Finasteride, because some of the side-effects are quite scary and to be honest, the idea of messing with my hormones doesn't sound very appealing.
