success with revivogen

Now I know there are many threads about revivogen but I want to start a more recent one where people who USED revivogen post their experiences with it.

many of the other revivogen threads go off topic.

another issue is that many people only say a product is successful if they regrow hair which will most likely not happen with revivogen.

so has anyone had success with revivogen in terms of maintaining the hair they have and/or little regrowth?

I am about 2.5 months in and if anything it has maintained my hair if not slightly helped. I like the stuff. I am going to wait until the 3 month mark to post pics.

This thread is useful...

These guys all reporting long-term maintenance with Revivogen.

No it's not scientific proof, it's not a clinical trial either (FDA trials cost $$$$$), but it is however proof that Revivogen can in fact do a very good maintenance job in the absence of Finasteride, as proved by a former Finasteride user.

i cant hold a guy with 9 posts credible but I'm sure it does maintain to some degree but I don't know how effective it really is

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realise there was such a strong correlation between post count and credibility :)

There are some real "special" people on this forum with 5000+ posts but if anything I'd say their credibility has greatly diminished over the years what with all the hours spent speculating about bs and talking trash...

Anyway, DoctorHouse also maintained post-Finasteride with the use of Revivogen.

It's not as effective as finasteride naturally enough because it's not going to permanently alter your internal hormone balance, but I'd wager that it's more effective than all other other commercially available topical anti-androgens...

For instance, I challenge you to find anyone here who has maintained their gains post-Finasteride, with the use of topical spironolactone alone... it just doesn't happen, unless backed up with various other topicals i.e. minoxidil.

I know its effective to some degree because I use it, but I'm not convinced that its the best topical. I think ru might be more effectve but its hard to get

How long have you been using it and what is your routine/regimen?

Ok, so what about it makes you think you need to switch? Has your hair loss still been getting worse?

Well if his recent posts are anything to go by, it reads like his hairloss has virtually stopped, which sounds pretty promising but then 5AR inhibitors take 9-12months to work properly, so you can't really judge his results at this stage.

Also, RU sounds good, but it's a nightmare to get hold of & sounds like one big messy Chemistry experiment as far as preparation is considered. A lot of hard work and expense involved.

Worringly, I've also read RU users, like El Duterino and others, reporting RU sides similar to finasteride on other forums... it is supposed to be an extremely potent anti-androgen & so I'd be quite sceptical about it's safety profile, given that it didn't complete full clinical trials.

That is supposed to happen. Continue to keep using it and see if you lose any ground which I don't think you will. But how do you know if it's Revivogen causing the reaction and not Rogaine?

i dont know if thats supposed to happen because the shedding is supposed to decreases as time moves on.

i know its not from rogaine because I didn't use it for that long and i stopped it. i didnt have initial shedding with rogaine.

Rocky, is the shedding affecting the appearance of your hair? It should be a good thing to shed. That means its working. You really need to continue to stick with it and don't come to conclusions now just because of shedding. If your start to notice your hair loss is still progressing then you should worry...like your hairline continuing to fade or losing hair density, etc.

I've been using Revivogen for over four months. The only time when I see shed hair is after I have washed my hair in the morning. But if I compare the amount of shed hair before Revivogen. It has definitely decreased. In the evening, when I mess around my hair to remove my "holding spray" and apply my Revivogen, I only notice a couple of hairs.

Do you find your hair sheds during the day?

I am holding my judgement on Revivogen until I've been on it for a year. I believe this should be more than enough time to see if it truly is working.

it fluctuates. sometimes it sheds more than often and other days it doesnt. but I agree shopkeeper, Im gonna give it a year before I make a judgement. I never said that revivogen doesnt work but I wonder if its as effective as they make it seem.

I'm shedding badly at the moment after about 6 weeks of spironolactone in the morning and Revivogen at night. I've been applying to my hairline and temples and my hairline is much much thinner.

I wanted to add Rogaine as well but I'm worried that it will make the shed worse. Should I hold off for a bit?

It's usually best to shower with warm water prior to using any topical formula as this opens up the pores in your scalp. I believe it would be best to shampoo with Nizoral and not use conditioner as it may interfere with the topical. Leave it on for at least 8 hours for maximum effect.
