Stupid question about minoxidil dosage.

I got minoxidil liquid and it says to use 1 mL on the affected area. I'm just wondering if 1 mL is the LINE on the syringe, or the entire syringe?

Is it 1 mL at the line, or does the entire syringe need to be full?


Bouncing off of that, should I use more than 1 mL for each affected area? I'm planning to use it on my temples.

1ml is at the line. Do not use more than that.

Your hair is just about as short as mine. 1ml is more than enough to cover the entire top of your head and temples.

Don't use 2ml. Please remember minoxidil is a med that lowers blood pressure. If you over use it, you may develop side effects - dizziness, headaches, irregular heart beat, dark circles, and also digital clubbing (finger clubbing).
There is a reason why it says on the label to use only 1 ml per application.
Also do not apply minoxidil on a wet scalp right after showering.

When I first started using minoxidil I developed bad side effects. I was using around 2ml every night. I had extreme headaches and dizziness - I couldn't walk in a straight line, I had difficulties if driving my car while going to work. It lasted 3 days after I decreased dosage to less than 1ml, side effects went away. Now I'm using 1ml once a day.
So please remember minoxidil is a powerful blood pressure medication that can get in the blood streams while applied on the scalp.
