student needs help haha.

Hey everyone i'm new here and after lurking for a day or two i finally decided to make an account and ask a few questions, first things first i'm 21 i live in england and i'm currently studying at university which will hopefully pay off in the future however at the moment i'm short on funds and hairloss treatments seem to be ridiculously expensive for me i was wondering if there were any other options except the expensive versions of minoxidil and finasteride, im probably a Norwood 2.5 heading to 3, i might upload pics at some point to get some more experienced opinions.

P.s i forgot to add that there is no balding in my family, my dad and grandad on his side both have full heads of hair, infact my dad kept his juvenile hairline until he was 47 and has only recently started receding nearing 50, my mums dad had thinning but not bald hair at 65 and didnt have any signs at my age unfortunately he died of a heart attack before i was born so i can't measure where his hairline would be now.

inhouse pharmacy, fincar, cut up into 1/4s and it's pocket change. year on that then jump on minoxidil if you want more or different progress with your hair.

I buy Finpecia from Inhouse though just because I can't be bothered with the hassle of cutting it up. I think it's like £13 a month which is a small price if it preserves my hair for a few extra years. I've held off minoxidil myself because I've heard it's wise to introduce treatments gradually and not all at once so you can guage what works for you. kthxbi's advice is pretty much on the money in my opinion.


Your family history and your situation 21istooyoung reminds me of my Dad's situation. He had no hairloss in the family whatsoever. His Dad wasn't bald and his 5 brothers all kept their hair while he started losing at his 19. male pattern baldness can be just so unpredictable. :shakehead:

I always feel extra sympathetic for guys who lose it when there's no real history of male pattern baldness in the family.
