STRIP PROCEDURE using a random donor area

Have any doctors been able to successfully remove a donor strip say from the back or thigh area and implant the follicles into the scalp. Just a random thought...

Not a strip. Some doctors (Dr. Jones in Toronto) will perform FUE with chest and other body hair.

Yea I'm aware of the FUE procedure using chest or back hair. To me the strip procedure seems to provide a wider range of benefits than the FUE procedure (besides the scar). Thats why if they were able to take a strip from a discreet area of the body a strip hair transplant would be less of a commitment.

I don't understand...How would it be any less of a commitment?
And how would a strip procedure be more beneficial?
