I was wondering if stopping treatment for 3 weeks would make me shed a ton? I'm considering stopping for 3 weeks due to a upcoming medical trial I'd like to be apart of. I started finasteride almost exactly a year ago because I felt like I was shedding a lot of hair and my hair looked a bit thinner. Can't be sure but I've been taking it everyday now as a preemptive measure to not lose anymore hair (regardless if I'm actually balding or not). No side effects except some minor ball ache the first few weeks.

^This. You won't lose it all. You'll eventually just go back to how it used to be and the hair loss process you've been dealing with.
