Hello,

I am 35 and had no hair loss until a rather sudden hair loss in the crown area in just a 2 month period. So I started with Eucapil and it seems to have slowed or stopped my hair loss. (zero hairs in the shower drain now) but strangely some shed when I comb after using Eucapil. Ive been using Eucapil for over 2 months.

Now I want to add minoxidil 2% for some hair growth. But I heard that if I stop minoxidil in the future all the new hair growth will shed. Is this true? Thanks.

Yep... it'll go, its a lifelong commitment and one you should only take up if you can truly be stuffed putting the greasy, flaky, itchy stuff in your hair twice a day.

Some love it... i loathe it.

All hairloss drugs are a lifelong commitment.

THink of it this way:

Having teeth is a daily lifelong commitment
Eating food is a daily lifelong commitment
Breating air is a daily lifelong commitment
For some people going to the hospital to use a dialysis machine is a daily lifelong commitment.

We can choose our commitments, taking a pill or rubbing some lotion isn't much of a commitment.

Heard the saying 'You reap what you sow??'

Its true that all hairloss treatments are a lifelong commitment but the problem with minoxidil is that if you stop using it all your hair can fall out in a very short amount of time as it doesn't stop the underlying damage to the follicles.

If a cure came out which stopped all further DHT damage permanently minoxidil users would still have to continue with minoxidil as their follicles are already so damaged, that is why it is referred to as a lifelong commitment.

With things like finasteride it stops or at least significantly retards the process so if you stop using it you won't suddenly lose all your hair but your loss just continues at the same rate as before you started taking it.
