Stopping minoxidil... how soon did your shed start?

Can anyone who has stopped their minoxidil let me know how soon they started shedding, and how long it lasted? Did restarting resolve it right away, or did it take awhile?

My brother is talking about stopping his minoxidil treatments (a pain he says), and I am trying to scare him to continue. We've both been on minoxidil for just over a year.

my minoxidil shed started within a week, scary!

took about 2 weeks for shedding to start. Stopping and restarting it won't stop immediately. I had to go through another shed.

It really would depend on what grwoth cycle you are at.. I would highly doubt there is a solid answer.
