Stopped finasteride because of side effects and minoxidil isn't doing much, what should I do?

I have a thinning vertex and receding hairline but nothing awful yet. But my hairline is rapidly receding. I stopped finasteride about a week and a half in at the advice of my dermatologist because it made me lose sensitivity and made my (mild) gyno worse. I've been using minoxidil for a few months but it doesn't seem to be stopping my hair loss. What regimen do people usually do if they can't use finasteride?

I've been using it for a little under 4 months. What stage was your hair at were you at when it started working for you? Maybe that has something to do with it?

Topical spironolactone is another option. A lot of people think it's too weak tho. Personally I use it but in addition to a good few other things.
