Still shedding 100+ hairs a day on the foam 2 months in

I noticed my hair was starting to thin in October of last year. After researching a few options, I started generic liquid Minoxidil in Febuary. It made my hair itch so bad I descided to switch to the foam the first day of April. Prior to this switch I was losing about 10 hairs a day.

After 2 weeks of no response to the foam, I started to shed and shed and shed. I have lost between 50-250 hairs a day for the past 6 weeks now and my hair is really getting thin.

Has anyone else shedded this much?

Should I continue to use it?

9 weeks in, and I am losing hair like crazy still and there is no end in sight. There is also no evidance of hair regrowth. What should I expect if this stuff is working?

If your shedding healthy/thick terminal hairs then they almost always regrow. The only thing that worries me when I see people switching from liquid to foam and reporting a huge shed is that perhaps the foam isn't reaching the scalp properly and infact they are seeing minoxidil dependent hair fall out. However, in your case you have'nt been on minoxidil of any kind long enough to grow a significant amount of minoxidil dependent hair. So, what you must be seeing is a shed caused by minoxidil kicking all the dormant folicles into action which means new hair is on the way surely. A shed can last a good three months.....

I consistantly shed 200 hairs a day. Yet it makes no difference to the overall look of my hair. Most of these shedding hairs seem to come from the nape/donor area. Its weird.
