Still Losing 500-ish Hairs On finasteride. Is This A Sign Of A Non-responder?

I have only been on finasteride for 2 weeks now but I feel like I am going to be a non responder already. Before starting finasteride the last time I showered I counted 347 hairs lost. 2 weeks after that shower I am still losing roughly the same. If I am losing around 350 in the showers than throughout the day im easily losing 600+ per day. Even when I style my hair or just even touch it I see a couple of strands fall off each time. These hairs are getting thinner and thinner and its happening so fast.

I know 2 weeks is still way early but is the fact that I it didnt even lower the number of hairs im losing after 2 weeks mean that I am not going to respond well? Can any of you guys share your experience with something similiar? Also, I have been using rogaine since december but I am a non-responder to it. My family history has agressive balding that makes us lose all our hair before 25ish and im 21 right now.

Thanks in advance

Try stronger, if Finasteride isn't working for you, than try Dustateride. dutasteride can eliminate up
to 90% of DHT, Finasteride only eliminates around 72%, I believe.

Also, mix it with Minoxidil for best results. Of course, Minoxidil by itself is completely useless.

Would it be a better idea to wait it out with finasteride for a year before jumping to dutasteride? I mean it has only been 2 weeks so far.

@rclark Minoxidil is NOT completely useless on its own.

@OP you are setting yourself up for failure and like so many people on here are ridiculous and suffering from OCD. You count how many strands of hair is falling? You noticed in two weeks the strands are getting thinner (did you study them under a microscope???)? You have around 100,000 hair follices, which includes the sides and back, so according to you, you are losing .6% of your total hair each day which means in a little over 100 days you will be 100% bald. Are you on chemotherapy?

Just stop. If you are going to be annoying then just stop all treatment and let yourself go completely bald in 4 months.

They are looking thinner on average compared to when I first noticed hairloss. I only counted it once before its not OCD I was just curious and the one time it was 347 and now when I wash my hair im getting around the same visually but obviously I dont count anymore. I just inferred that if i am losing over 350 in shower alone I am probably losing much more throughout the day. I have hairs falling out onto my desk at work and at in school. On friday my co worker came by my desk and asked why the fuk there is so much hair everywhere. I can totally believe that Im losing .6% of my hair per day bro it is happening that fast. Its not unusual for my family either, my dad says this is how it happened to him too.

I understand it is annoying to hear and seems like an exaggeration and I wish it was an exaggeration but this is whats happening man.

I also lose a crazy amount of hair but I also trust in the treatments. Minoxidil Foam causes severe shedding constantly for me--the Finasteride has not affected this for the month I have taken it. However, I know the Minoxidil is working after 3 months because pictures show the areas are filling in. My hair got worse before it got better and sometimes the shedding is ridiculous but I TRUST. Take periodic pictures. Use hair concealers if needed. Do not focus on the shedding, what is important is that it grows back.
